With the theme “118 Taon ng Pagpupunyagi: Pinatatag ng Panahon, Handa sa Bagong Hamon at Pagkakataon”, the Bulacan State University (BulSU) Foundation Week 2022 was launched with cultural dance parades, various booths from colleges and organizations, busking drives, and instant concerts today, December 5.

However, while most of the students waited for the foundation week to happen, some were not excited.
Alex, a second year student from College of Arts and Letters (CAL) shared her sentiments on the ongoing celebration.
“Sa dami ng gawain ko, wala na ’kong magawa kundi tapusin 'yun at i-let go na ’yung foundation week,” she said.
While other students were trying various booths from different college organizations, Alex was among those students trying to complete her school tasks at the benches of Federizo Hall.
“Sasaya lang ako kapag imo-move lahat ng due date para naman masabi ko na nakapag-enjoy talaga ako na walang iniisip na activities,” she added.
Jane, a fourth year civing engineering student, also aired her perspective on the ongoing foundation week.
“Meron pa po [kaming] mga exam and due dates for plates po. Gustong-gusto naming i-enjoy 'yung foundation [week] pero parang pinagkakait sa amin sa ngayon dahil sa mga gagawin and finals pa this coming Saturday,” she said.
The opening program of the foundation week commenced with the theme “Pagpapala 2022”. It was filled with performances from BulSU Saring Himig, BulSU Rondalla, BulSU Live Band, BulSU Entablado, Hyperdynamics, and students from Bachelor of Physical Education (BPED). The program also showcased the achievements and accomplishments of colleges and satellite campuses.
The first day of the five-day foundation week ended with BulSU Symphonic Band serenading the crowd at Valencia Hall.
The Foundation Week was set to end on December 9.
