BULACAN, Philippines — The Commission on Elections (COMELEC) on Friday, December 2, completed the printing of more than 100,000 ballots and accountable forms for the plebiscites to ratify the conversion of the municipality of Baliuag in Bulacan into a component city.

The Republic Act 11929, an act converting the municipality of Baliuag into a component city lapsed into law last July 30 this year.
COMELEC Spokesperson Laudiangco said the ballots will undergo verification and checking in order to ensure quality and quantity before packing and shipping them to Baliwag.
There are 591 precincts with 200 clustered precincts and 20 voting centers in town.
Data from the COMELEC cited that there are 108,572 voters in town.
In a statement, Laudiangco confirms that he would personally attend the plebiscite with COMELEC Commissioner Aimee Ferolino and other COMELEC officials.
The gun ban along with the additional police officers will be observed during the plebiscite that will be conducted in 27 barangays in Baliuag, Bulacan on December 17 from 7 AM to 3 PM.
